| Ag in the
Classroom |
|
Imagine starting consumer education before the
consumer is even old enough to have an allowance. That's what
Ag in the Classroom (AITC) does. AITC offers teacher free
material and training so that students learn where their food
and clothing comes from, how safe and affordable their food
is, and how farmers use cutting edge technology and environmental
techniques to farm. Check out the ilfb.org site. We
are in need of members who will be willing to visit classrooms
in the county schools to tell the students about where their
food comes from. |
